I’ll be on the road this coming weekend. Im nervous and need a plan. I’ll be staying in a hotel for 2 nights and with family another few nights.

I love the idea I heard on the call about calling my family and asking to stock the fridge with healthy options.

Any suggestions for the hotel?

If there’s a fridge on hand, maybe baby carrots and Greek yogurt. I packed a whole bag of baby carrots on my flight last week and snacked on them. I also threw in a couple protein bars (I like the Laird peanut butter ones). Hope that helps! Good luck!

Salad kits , boiled eggs if you can find it . Rotisserie chicken, Greek yogurt, jerky . Whole wheat tortilla to make wraps . I hope you have a fridge at the hotel .

Had more candy than I was planning on yesterday, but was still in a calorie deficit and ate pretty healthy otherwise. Woke up this morning one pound lighter. I’ll take it!

Closed all my rings on my watch 5/7 days. Not too bad. Didn’t record all meals but by the end of the week I did record most meals. Water intake is still a work in progress. Something to work on this week.

Week 1 was a flop 😢
Started strong Monday and Tuesday but than goofed off the remainder of the week. Fresh start tomorrow!
Goals: drink 80 oz water daily, hit 10K steps daily, weight training on my days off; Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Let’s go! 💦🚶💪

I had a busy and somewhat stressful day at work. I was still able to make healthy food choices despite being around greasy food all day. Also closed all my rings!

  • Yesterday, work completely kicked my a**. I didnt get off track. I just didn't get to eat or drink anything all day. Making sure I'm eating today. Breakfast is sweet potatoes, bacon, eggs, cheese.
    Are there any nurses in here that may have any tricks? I pack easy quick stuff for work but man some days are just hard.

I’m not a nurse but I work 10-12 hr days as a restaurant manager, which would be nice be we don’t have the healthiest food options. I bring a lunch bag with easy snacks like mandarins, bananas, almonds, baby carrots, hard boiled eggs, and cottage cheese topped with berries. I found a new recipe for egg bites like the ones at Starbucks I can’t wait to try. That would be great for the drive to work, hand held foods are my go to.

Rosanna the problem is that sometimes I don't get a lunch. Some shifts I don't even have time to go to the bathroom. If it's not life threatening I will just take a break whether I have time or not. But the shift I was posting about I had patients tanking one after the other :relieved:

I turned down coffee so I could drink a glass of wine.

Unfortunately, I eat too much tortelloni for dinner and went over my calories by 180.

Dang it. There's always tomorrow.
