  • I am struggling big time with my nutrition. This past weekend I ate so much fast food (Taco Bell/Popeyes/Jack in the Box) and so I really need to get back into gear, follow 2b mindset, and meal prepping/planning for the week:

    Breakfast: choc PB chia banana smoothies (making smoothie packs to dump in the blender and just need to add milk)

    Lunch: lentil chicken curry with cauliflower rice (cooked chicken and made lentils)

    Snacks: IQ protein bar and/or veggies and eggs

    Dinner: veggies most (spaghetti squash/marinara/chicken sausage, salmon/brussel sprouts, beef taco salad)

    I am getting heavier and heavier and I need to just stop before I have to be on diabetes medication (I’m prediabetic)!! I exercise daily but I’m learning that nutrition really is the key to weight loss!

    Just had my smoothie and feel better already!!

The 2B Mindset is a great program that includes instructional videos, food tracker, numerous great recipes, accountability group opportunities and more. Following Ilana on Instagram is a great way to learn more about it and gives you some free ideas and recipes. You can also follow 2B Mindset on Instagram to learn more. I find her program easy to follow and her recipes are tasty, easy to follow and many have just a few ingredients. I also love her tips and tricks to help stay on track.

Down 1.4 pounds this morning. Almost back to my last DietBet weight. I always have this initial whoosh when I get fully back to 2B and then the weight loss slows down a bit. My body seriously loves this way of eating and I’m loving my increase in energy.

What’s really working for me this week?
-16 oz water before each meal
-Tracking in my 2B tracker all the things
-Noting start times and end times for each meal (this is for reflection to see if what I had at my last meal was satiating enough to get me through to my next meal time)
-Making sure, lunch, snack, and dinner is first bite veggies (I eat way more veggies at the meal when I do this)
-Going to bed earlier to get more sleep

Dinner and done ✅
Batch roasted sweet potato bites for a good FFC a few times this week ✅
Tracker filled out completely for the day ✅
87 oz of water ✅ (Goal was 70oz)
Added hearts to tracker to note the ways I cared well for myself ✅

Looking forward to seeing what the scale says tomorrow morning.

I buy precut sweet potatoes in the frozen section of Walmart (in the steamable bag). I microwave them and then throw them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then I put some refined coconut oil, smoked paprika, onion powder, and mineral salt on them and roast for quite awhile at 375. Unfortunately I don’t time or measure anything although the seasonings I pre-make every month or so and have them in a container labeled “sweet potato seasoning”…there are measurements for that one. I can look that up if anyone wants that. And when I batch roast I do 2-3 bags at a time since my family also eats a bit of these, too.

I went for an after dinner walk with my 3 year old yesterday. It was so nice just the two of us. She talked my ear off and I enjoyed every minute of it!
