Yep, and I think it's totally worth the money! I've just had one but it'll be even more useful once I can see a loss of fat/increase in muscle over time as my body recomps. Took about 20 minutes in a private practice that only does that kind of scan/measurement services.

So I have been complaining to doctors for about 4 years now that something is wrong. After doing some research I believe I have symptoms of insulin resistance. Anyone else dealing with this?

I also struggle with insulin resistance. I am taking Antagolin, which is an over the counter bloodsugar support supplement (I am not sure if it's available global, but just google insulin resistance medication that you can buy without a prescription). I am also following a low GI diet, which I have a lot of luck with weight loss this past month. The key is consistency, I eat my meals at roughly the same time each day and drink Antagolin just after. I also drink a lot of water. So far it is working wonders, I am not even exercising a lot, just gentle yoga every morning and hiking 1-2 times a week. Maybe test for insulin resistance? That is how I found out I also struggle with it

I am struggling with binge eating. I know it is emotionally triggered. I also struggle with food noise. I know I am not hungry but I can’t stop thinking about food. Does anyone else struggle with this issue? I never had this problem until I started medication.

Yes! You might want to tell your doctor and see if there's an alternate medication you can take. I went through the same thing last year and my doctor was able to prescribe something else that didn't make me want to eat everything including the plate. When I feel really hungry but don't want to blow my diet I go for a Dannon Light & Fit yogurt. Most of them are 80 calories and zero fat - and they actually taste good. Plus, they're sweet so it makes it seem like a little treat :)

I struggle all the time. I’m always thinking about my next meal. I did IF for a while and I am not saying it is not good ever for anyone I don’t think it helped me. That and dieting often for years has really taken a toll on hunger and fullness cues.

The fastest way I have lost weight is fasting ! Went from 188 to 156, my goal weight is 135 and height is 5’3

I want to start fasting but the food noise is so bad. I won’t be hungry but my head will start obsessing over food. Any advice?

I’m back to re-lose the weight! I had maintained an 80lbs weightloss for 4 years till last year going on antidepressants. Through my med journey I gained 40lbs back and hit a breaking point trying on clothes this weekend.

I’ve been working exercise back in after a group fitness class injury this summer and am trying to lose enough to gain confidence by the time I go to a family wedding mid October.

I used DietBet years ago when I was at my highest to get motivated, and I’m here to do it again! Let’s get it!!!!!

I can relate. I literally doubled my weight after being put on meds. Everytime I lose a little weight I gain it all back and then some.

I’ve had wonderful success with intermittent fasting. A good resource for understanding the benefits is Fast like a girl, by Dr. Mindy Pelz. I have struggled with Perimenopause and it’s helped with trying to reset my hormones, when I follow it completely. I tend to do a 16/8 fast…16 hrs fasting with an 8 hr eating window. Typically 11am-7pm. Hope this helps!
