Finally!!! I had been stuck for almost 2 weeks at the same weight even with a low calorie diet and lots of exercise. I was as getting pretty frustrated. Today I woke up and was a little over 1lb down!

  • Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend?

    Weekends are a great time to add in healthy activities that you may not have time for during the week. Whatever your weekend looks like, make it a great one and plan ahead so you'll stay on track.

    Some ideas to nourish you, mind, body and soul:

    -Discover a new workout video
    -Turn up the music and dance like no one's watching (one of my favorites)
    -Create a fitness challenge for yourself and complete it both Saturday and Sunday
    -Step into the kitchen and create a recipe with healthy foods you already have (hint, use Google for inspiration)
    -Journal (if you're not sure what to write, use gratitude as your inspiration)
    -Read a book
    -Watch something that makes you laugh!
    -Learn something new

    And always remember to drink your water!

I was on a plateau for the last 3 weeks. This week- I woke up and realized, I am out of the plateau and I lost 2 kg!! I am very happy! My goal is to continue to this trend even though my period is coming in couple days

Well this was a rough week. Lots of sweets temptations, long hours at work and too busy for the gym. But I am still down 1.2 lbs and I fasted through breakfast and lunch for a restart. Time to make this week count….goal is get to the gym 4 times.

I just retired and got back from a month long trip where I gained 11lbs! I need to lose that plus some! I am very motivated since none of my clothes fit.
For late night snacking I have been successful with saving calories for a chocolate good life protein shake. I heat it up in the microwave so it comes out like a hot chocolate! It's a great treat with 30grams of protein to curb the hunger pains!
I also just made an egg sandwich for 26 grams of protein and under 300 calories. I baked egg whites, cottage cheese and everything bagel seasoning for the bread. Filled it with egg, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, capers and cheese so yummy! Will definitely make again.

  • Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you're all off to a strong start. If not, that's okay, just start NOW...not tomorrow! :)

    I know many of us struggle with consistency. What made DietBet work for me, was that it forced me to stay motivated at times when I normally would have given up. I'd remind myself why I started (and that I didn't want to lose my money!) and I was able to get back on track after a bad day, rather than letting it derail me for a few more days, that turned into weeks, etc.

    What I found here was not just a game, but a community of amazing people on the same journey I'm on. People just like YOU!

Doing well so far. I haven't counted calories yet, but I know what is in what I am eating for the most part. I have my sister in the bet, too, and that helps a lot!
