I can already tell a difference in my body and wellness since refocusing on food choices at the beginning of this challenge. I’ve lost some pounds, but mostly my body feels better and my mental state is much calmer.

I was struggling with grazing throughout the day due to a lot of stress and anxiety, and it felt like my brain was out of control and constantly telling me, “I want food!”

Now that I’ve started meal prepping, planning, and tracking my food again, my brain is so much calmer. Even as I struggled with anxiety this week, there was much less of that demand to eat all the time.

I hope all of you are feeling good about your progress as well! And it’s not too late!! Use today to plan and prep and help yourself feel successful this week!!

Liz, right - shutting off the “I want to eat” brain is difficult - even when you know you’re not hungry - the struggle is real - glad you are finding success - me too - small changes are making a big difference - keep up the consistency.

I give myself a little extra food freedom on the weekends, but last weekend I went a little too far with it. This weekend was much better! Still ate out some (even had a Popeye’s chicken sandwich), but did it mindfully and within reason!

I was also extra active yesterday (not to “makeup” for the extra food, but because it was fun and moving my body is a great way to manage stress and stay mobile!)

  • Might not look like much, but OH SO Delicious!!!
    Leftover chicken cut up and mixed with precooked barley and frozen peas - onion & garlic powder, salt & pepper and a light sprinkle of low sodium powdered chicken bullion.

  • I am meal prepping tomorrow. I usually prep ground beef for taco toppings, roast/ chicken...some of it I air fry, some I cook n shred, some I just have cut up ready for the air fryer and sometimes I just buy a prepared whole chicken and go from there. I also prep veggies for salad, sides, and add ins, hard boiled eggs, and sometimes mini muffins ❤

    Do any of you meal prep?

I love watermelon juice like that!! It’s great for workout recovery as well as its nutrients aid in muscle soreness and are super hydrating!

I’m intentionally focusing on healthy eating - and a co- worker brings Timmy’s donuts — so I took my lunch salad to my car and am having lunch with ice water. Wow, the quiet - and get-a-way - I might have discovered something.

Wow that’s awesome! The break room is the worst at my office. But yes, I love being able to step away from the desk midday for some sunshine and fresh air. I need to make that happen more often.

I’ve started doing yoga classes a couple times a week at my gym. It’s really helping! My anxiety has been high this week, and I can tell how much it affects my eating habits for sure.

I’m a proffee girl, too! I mix black coffee with Ryse cinnamon toast protein powder every morning! (I switch up the flavors sometimes but I’m loving the cinnamon right now!)
