Post Thanksgiving check in:
There are two precious foster littles in our family and one ate 90% of my meal so that was a win for both of us ✅. Definitely need to focus more on hydration!

  • This has been a busy week and I’m feeling overwhelmed. And hungry. I made two veggies for dinner - salad and asparagus and had some grilled shwarma chicken with it. So good. This Diet Bet is helping me dive in to the 2B program more and I really like it! I was doing Portion Fix for years but it’s been good for me to switch to 2B - allows me eat bigger servings (I’m a total volume eater). I was dinner and done this evening with just a cup of Gingerbread Spice tea.

It’s neat to hear what you’ve been learning. I also have tried portion fix but have found 2B Mindset to be the winning program. I can eat big volumes of veggies and still loose weight! It’s also taught me to like and appreciate veggies way more than ever!

  • Hubby wanted pizza last night so we made a homemade protein crust with chicken. It was so good and so much protein! Topped with mushrooms and onions and sausage. Highly recommend this crust!

Large can of chicken beast (recipe called for 2 but we used 1 large)
1 egg
1/4 c Parmesan cheese
We also added Italian seasoning

Bake for 30 mins on 375

Add sauce, bake for 8 minutes

Add cheese and toppings bake for 8-10 minutes

I also make this crust and it hits that need for pizza! Another great thing to do is roll them into balls and throw in air fryer for chicken meatballs..they freeze well and easy to grab when want a great snack or quick meal. Can chicken is good but fresh or frozen chicken breasts even better, just boil and shred!

  • Peeps, this week has been such a scale Rollercoaster. I started Monday at 208.5- 1lb away from my goal for this bet. Ate well, not perfect, worked out and by Wednesday the scale was 211.4. But.....I had a great victory.

    My old mindset would have just said "F this, I might as well eat what I want." But this looming deadline forced a shift. And I instead thought "How can I keep nourishing my body (and not starving myself, the other side of my all-or-nothing past) and get the scale moving down?" Because I knew water weight was a big part.

    Today was 208.4!!! I've got 1lb to go. Even if I don't make weight, I'm so proud of myself for the mindset change.

    What's your mindset victory?
