0.1 oz away from my goal ! Sooooooo close. Any tips? I’ve been eating only 2b recipes for a week and the scale has moved significantly, BUT I need to get rid of that final ounce. $35 is on the line LOL

Did everything right yesterday, chicken & broccoli for dinner. Zero snacks. Followed plate it for B & L. Did a super intense peloton ride , so much sweat. Still exact same weight.. maybe my broccoli was too salty ?! My daughter did complain… haha . Hopefully by tomorrow that one ounce will be gone!

Hi it’s our anniversary this weekend and I’m .5 away from my goal. My husband and I went out for dinner last night and I had grilled salmon and asked for double veggies as a side and had water instead of wine. I felt amazing and satisfied! It feels so good to be in control and feel GOOD leaving a restaurant feeling GOOD. Keep it up tbh is weekend everyone!

  • Peeps, this week has been such a scale Rollercoaster. I started Monday at 208.5- 1lb away from my goal for this bet. Ate well, not perfect, worked out and by Wednesday the scale was 211.4. But.....I had a great victory.

    My old mindset would have just said "F this, I might as well eat what I want." But this looming deadline forced a shift. And I instead thought "How can I keep nourishing my body (and not starving myself, the other side of my all-or-nothing past) and get the scale moving down?" Because I knew water weight was a big part.

    Today was 208.4!!! I've got 1lb to go. Even if I don't make weight, I'm so proud of myself for the mindset change.

    What's your mindset victory?

I have been so sick all week! I've tried to focus on nutrient-dense foods and water since I couldn't stomach much. The scale has dropped a ton this week but it's hard to be excited since it wasn't healthy loss and who knows how much will come back. Any advice?

This illustrates that weight loss has more to do with what we eat than exercising.

When you can eat again, just continue to make healthy choices, and it won't all come back. If the illness has you in a - ahem - cleanse mode, a few pounds will come back when you're keeping food down again.

I had a stomach bug a couple weeks ago and just eased back into my regular foods. Things like apple slices, banana and dry toast helped and I didn’t eat much. Once I got my appetite back, I just tried to get back on track with water first and veggies most. Good luck and hope you feel better!

  • Laid down last night and then realized my breakfasts weren't ready. Back to kitchen so I could start my week strong.

    These are my go-to and I call them Chocolate Protein Zoats.

    1/2c oats
    2 Tbs PB powder
    1 scoop Chocolate collagen powder
    1 scoop unflavored collagen powder
    1/4 greek yogurt
    1/2c (or more) shredded zucchini
    Almond milk to your desired consistency

    I like to microwave mine for 55 seconds to take the chill off but not make them hot. But they can be enjoyed at any temperature. If I weren't focused on losing fat, I'd add frozen berries too.

Valerie- I meant I leave them out because my body does worse and worse with carbs as I get older. My tracking has shown that if I want to lose weight I really have to stick with 1 FFC at the meal

Greatest victory this weekend.... ignoring food thoughts for several hours while my oldest hosted a halloween party and I sat on the couch watching movies until midnight (to supervise). 🏆
Woke up to 1lb weight loss, which never happens.

Well, yesterday didn't go so well. Was tired all day, cranky, and craving all the carbs. Over indulged and was never full and didn't have meals ready. Scale went back up but I eeked in a WLW at .2 lbs. I keep telling myself consistency is key.

It’s going slow this week. Down .9, keep telling myself just 2lbs at a time. I got into the habit of eating popcorn and chocolate with my daughter at night while watching tv shows together. I need to get back to dinner and done. What tips and tricks do you use to be dinner and done?

I usually chew some sugar free bubblegum. That helps with the sweet and since I have gum I don’t eat anything else.

I am seeing start with fluids; like tea, water, non caffeine soda to curb cravings. If I do have a treat make it light like fruit, veggie, or chew gum. I will have to experiment with what works for me. Thanks team for sharing!! :muscle:

I’ve been weighing daily for the past 6 years (a few stretches between without, due to vacations or busy seasons in life). It keeps me aware, and over time it’s become more about knowing my own patterns and what foods affect me the most (and activities or seasons of life they go with). I view it like keeping track of financial stats. I need to know where I am before I can decide what to change or keep the same.

It's not very good to do but it's my bad habit. Only because you can have progress shown through inches, pictures and other non scale victories
