I didn't "win" this game as expected but I did gain! I gained: confidence, endurance, self-esteem and an increased sense of self-worth. I was two pounds shy of meeting my weight but I did lose 8.6 lbs! Plus- I can jog again. I'm jogging 3 miles or close to it 5x a week and I'm super excited to see how I can increase speed and duration over time. I'll join the next bet for sure! Congratulations everyone!

I don't think I'm going to win this bet and I'm ok with it. Getting weight off has been harder for me this game despite plenty of sleep, water, more exercise and IF. If anything I'm calling this game a win bc I'm jogging again for prolonged periods of time. I honestly never thought I would be able to again and now I can jog three miles daily! Congratulations to everyone winning those NSV!

They definitely are Sonya! My clothes fit better, I'm more active and have more energy and will to stay away from unhealthy choices. I've already won  I think I'll join the next bet bc I do better with accountability

Dedication over motivation. Keep showing up for yourself. The number of the scale is not a true reflection of your success

I could really do with some advice as I’m feeling so deflated and upset with my progress. I’m not going to make this challenge and at this rate it’ll take me 10 years to reach my goal weight.

I’m a big girl so feel like the weight should be coming off fairly quickly but it’s just not budging.

I follow a paleo lifestyle so only eat meat, fish, some vegetables, small amount of fruit, nuts and seeds and healthy fats.

I also track absolutely everything to stay in a 1000 calorie deficit every day. Some days it’s significantly more of a deficit.

Why is the weight not coming off?

I dont know your situation and dont need to but maybe check hormones? Life changing for me. Also maybe more healthy carbs every once in awhile will help your body to let go more. If I do the same thing all the time, I sometimes plateau.

For me it was key to understand insulin. In a nutshell here is what O learned that helped me. Insulin makes you hold onto weight and store energy. The advice I was given for decades made me pack on pounds by keeping my body releasing insulin every time I ate a “healthy snack.” My switching to a higher fat, leafy green, protein rich eating plan and eating 3 meals a day with no snacks and lots of water and some black coffee or tea, I’ve dropped about 90 lbs and have regained my health. I eat more now than I did before but keeping those basic ideas has helped a ton!!!

Woohoo!

Kacky

3.4 to go, just about on track. I hope to see that I have built a little more momentum in the 3rd week. It would kill me to miss the target by just a few ounces!
