Thinking ahead about my meals for the week. Bringing water and tea with me wherever I go.

Drinking water. I’ve been home all week and Monday and Tuesday was on Zoom parent teacher conferences all day so I made sure to exercise in the morning like I usually do and keep drinking water and tea throughout the day, as well as planning what my meals would be to avoid mindless snacking.

Thanking is about gratitude. My family of 5 spends the day in the mountains snowboarding unless family is visiting or we go to family for Thanksgiving. We use the day to spend time together, being outside doing something together that is fun and good for us, and we discuss what we are grateful for and hopes for the future. In the spirit of the season I usually make some sort of healthy pumpkin sweet that can for into 2B and cranberry chutney that we can enjoy for a while after the holiday.

Hi, I'm Lindsay, from Chicago. I was motivated to join the group because I've been in a pretty good mindset lately and wanted to give myself some extra accountability to keep it up during the holidays. My non-scale goal is to get more sleep - I'm a single mom with almost full custody of 3 school age kids and a full time job, so I get so little time to myself that it's hard to make myself go to bed during that brief period of time when the kids are all asleep and I have a little bit of time to myself.
