  • Just got back from grocery store and found “side away foods” balsamic beet noodles and Moroccan tagine …. Any thoughts on the nutritional labels? Good bit of sugar in the beets one but only 3 grams added…

    THANK YOU!!!

Paula F.

Thank you for doing this calls!!! Have a great week!

I read, on Google, that typically, a woman over 60, will lose very little weight the first two weeks of a diet and exercise program. After that, weight loss will show nicely on the scale. Last Friday unofficial weigh in, I only lost .4 lbs in one week, after doing everything I could. I have worked very hard this week and it will be OK if the weight loss is small. I expect great thing for the following Friday's unofficial weigh in. So glad I found the statistics on Google. I might have given up.

That’s a good statistic to know… I am 52 and I lose very very slowly… it is hard not to get discouraged

Not always easy to stay motivated even with progress . I try zoom out and see how far I have progressed. It’s not a race

Valerie M.

Had a WLW and then gained. The weight is coming off slow and I am okay with that as long as it keeps going down. Probably won’t reach my goal weight this time around and again that’s okay. I will get there. I want to do this in a healthy way.

Traveling and eating healthy is hard… hotel’s breakfast is not that bad, it has some options. Dinner at my in laws is the toughest, a lot of starches but no veggies

I bring cut up veggies when I travel. Asked my husband to get a veggie tray when he went to the store to get supplies for his mom for dinner. Ate those first before the cheeseball and crackers she had out.

Paula F.

I will have to bring my own veggies next time… we go back 12/25

Hi Everyone not sure what happen with the post-it didn't post the whole thing..

Hi everyone!

As we dive into this festive week full of family, friends, and food, let’s remind ourselves what we’re truly celebrating—connection, gratitude, and progress. Yes, progress! Even during Thanksgiving, you can enjoy your favorite foods AND stay on track.

✨ Here’s your game plan for the week:
1⃣ Plan Ahead: Think about what’s most important to you on the Thanksgiving table. Is it the mashed potatoes, the stuffing, or the pumpkin pie? Choose your “must-haves” and skip the things you can live without.
2⃣ Water First, Veggies Most: Start your meal with water and load your plate with colorful veggies before diving into the richer dishes. You’ll feel fuller faster and make room for balance.
3⃣ Savor the Moment: Eat slowly and mindfully. This is your chance to enjoy every bite and every memory made around the table.

💡 Reminder: Your health journey doesn’t pause for the holidays—it evolves with it. Celebrate how far you’ve come and know that one meal doesn’t define your success. YOU define your success!

Share your Thanksgiving plan or what you’re most excited to eat in the comments below. Let’s inspire each other to make this week about joy and balance, not stress or guilt.

"Celebrate how far you've come and know that one meal doesn't define your success." Love that!

Thanking is about gratitude. My family of 5 spends the day in the mountains snowboarding unless family is visiting or we go to family for Thanksgiving. We use the day to spend time together, being outside doing something together that is fun and good for us, and we discuss what we are grateful for and hopes for the future. In the spirit of the season I usually make some sort of healthy pumpkin sweet that can for into 2B and cranberry chutney that we can enjoy for a while after the holiday.

  • Had a NSV today went to the theater to see Wicked with my daughter and she wanted popcorn. So I bought it for her. I told her I wasn’t gonna eat much of it. Had about 20 kernels and got my meal replacement bar out and had that. So freaking proud of myself. After I got home I made the Shakeology chocolate rice pudding w/banana & a squirt of coconut cream. It may have been too many carbs for 4 pm but I will track and see. Hopefully I will have a WLW.

Hi, I'm Lindsay, from Chicago. I was motivated to join the group because I've been in a pretty good mindset lately and wanted to give myself some extra accountability to keep it up during the holidays. My non-scale goal is to get more sleep - I'm a single mom with almost full custody of 3 school age kids and a full time job, so I get so little time to myself that it's hard to make myself go to bed during that brief period of time when the kids are all asleep and I have a little bit of time to myself.

Gina R.

Hi! I'm from Long Island NY. I am doing this diet bet because I've put on some weight that needs to go! And a NSV I'm working on is feeling better in my clothes.
