  • Struggling hard!! I just saw a picture that was taken of me a week ago and I feel like crawling into a hole. I have been feeling good with my food and my activity…and the scale is moving….and then BOOM! I don’t even want to go to my kid’s school event tonight. (Picture on left was 2 years ago…picture on right was last week that I just saw on social media). I am devastated and feel very defeated. How did I let this happen?

I agree with Michele. You are getting back on track now. Don’t let the discouragement prevent you from enjoying the company of others and depriving others of enjoying the company you provide to them. Keep up the hard work!

Dominique O.

Life happens! It sucks cuz times slips but you can do anything you set your mind to! Be strong stay committed and know it’s a process. I’m in the same boat! I haven’t been over 200 pounds in 3 years and I am STRUGGLING to get under 205 :sob:

**CHALLENGE ALERT**
HAPPY MONDAY ROCKSTARS!! Sometimes the trick to the next weight loss isn’t a new method but a new recipe. This week’s weight loss challenge is to make sure you eat 2 cups of veggies by 2 pm. This helps your weight as well as health and sense of control throughout the day. This Greek cauliflower rice recipe is one of my favorites and is full of a variety of veggies.

What have been your favorites???

My go-to are sliced bell peppers and carrots and a veggie dip with plain Greek yogurt seasoned with green chile spices, yummy!

Hi loves!! Happy FriYAY!! This is when we increase our focus on our healthy habits and lifestyle. Don’t take the mindset that the weekend has to be harder. In fact, tons of my clients find they lose more weight on the weekend due to extra time to sleep, relax, drink water (and pee), workout, go grocery shopping and plan for the week.

How much water are you drinking this weekend? What veggies do you plan on eating tonight, tomorrow and the next day? Are you going to any events? How are you going to go about it smart??

I'm traveling (oy...) but I hope to include healthy snacks and smaller portions wherever I go! I'll be doing hiking and maybe kayaking some snorkeling etc so I'll be getting exercise and lots of water.

This weekend wasn’t great meals wise but I did work out Friday and Saturday and hit my water goal hoping to get my nutrition on track today and the rest of the week to hopefully make up for some of it

Happy Monday!! I had a WLW…weight loss weekend!! I am so excited. QUESTION…when I go in to submit an “official” progress weigh in, I keep getting a pop-up to become a member of DietBet for a year. Do I have to become a member to do official progress weigh ins? Thanks!

Roni T. , CSexton311 and like this comment.

Congrats! Yes but you can still update your weight in the game to keep track it just won’t be an official weigh in and you won’t be entered to win the weekly prize.

Amanda V.

The official weekly weigh ins are entries into the prizes they have during the game and you have to be a member for that. If you are not a member you can input unofficial weighs but you need to do an official weigh in at the end to be in to win your money back and sum.

I am tired today…I did not sleep well at all last night. As a result, I am struggling. I am drinking my water and crunching on veggies…thought if I posted on here it would help me stay away from other snack food. Can I go to bed at 5pm? 😂😂

Try hot flavored tea if you need a snack later- I love rose tea with all there desert flavors

I got the shingles vaccine on Tuesday. Thursday I was down for the count. I didn't work. I stayed in bed all day. Ate a couple things I shouldn't have, but didn't move the scale, thankfully!

Remember that your palate is fully capable of changing according to the foods you choose to eat. Your cravings will noticeably subside, and foods you used to enjoy will soon lose their luster. Nothing is better than how the right foods make you feel - that feeling lasts and tells your brain to crave those foods instead. Veggies are by far the most satisfying thing for me to eat! I literally feel more alive during and long after!

What are your favorite veggies?? And what do you not crave anymore??

I love Brussel sprouts and do not care for chocolate.

Valerie M.

Roasted veggies are my favorite. I love how I can eat them with pretty much anything. I know this works because I did it for 2 years before hit hard with being sick. I had a hard time bouncing back. It’s the chips. I can eat a whole bag of any kind of chip by myself. The cravings haven’t totally gone away yet. :pensive:

Hi! Amanda from NJ. I am trying to shift my focus away from the end goal (or number on the scale) to actions that I can take every day to increase longevity!

Christina B.

I'm Christina, a soon to be divorced mother of 3. I am hoping to see my energy levels improve in addition to the physical perks of weight-loss. I am working hard to be mentally, physical, and emotionally healthier this year. Glad to be here to help motivate me to reach towards my goals.

This is my very first DietBet…I am excited to see if this is the motivation I need to change the direction of the scale. I have been on a steady climb these last few years and I have put on 30lbs. I am realizing that I need something other than myself to be accountable to. Let’s do this!

It’s a slow climb but then after 5 years you are 10 pounds heavier!! Good luck!!

Kelly

We got this! I’ve been adding 10-15 lbs a year for the past 6-7 yrs…not anymore!
