Having today off, my daughter and I walked nearly 3.5 miles. She rode her bike for most of the way until she decided to walk and I pushed the bike. I am thankful for these little moments and the cooler weather today. Now to do some strength training.

  • I made it! I’m so excited. Last year I struggled to win and lose anything. I am in a new job and the stress is gone. I fully believe it was all due to hug stress levels. I was eating well and working out. On to the next challenge.

Last night I had my treat meal with pizza and a small amount of ice cream. I made sure to eat my veggies throughout the day. I made sure to drink plenty of water. I’m reasonably active throughout the day being a preschool teacher. I weighed in today and my weight stayed the same. I normally gain. I was happy to see the same numbers as yesterday. I have .7 pounds to my goal.

Remember that your palate is fully capable of changing according to the foods you choose to eat. Your cravings will noticeably subside, and foods you used to enjoy will soon lose their luster. Nothing is better than how the right foods make you feel - that feeling lasts and tells your brain to crave those foods instead. Veggies are by far the most satisfying thing for me to eat! I literally feel more alive during and long after!

Roasted veggies are my favorite. I love how I can eat them with pretty much anything. I know this works because I did it for 2 years before hit hard with being sick. I had a hard time bouncing back. It’s the chips. I can eat a whole bag of any kind of chip by myself. The cravings haven’t totally gone away yet. :pensive:
