It’s going slow this week. Down .9, keep telling myself just 2lbs at a time. I got into the habit of eating popcorn and chocolate with my daughter at night while watching tv shows together. I need to get back to dinner and done. What tips and tricks do you use to be dinner and done?

I usually chew some sugar free bubblegum. That helps with the sweet and since I have gum I don’t eat anything else.

I am seeing start with fluids; like tea, water, non caffeine soda to curb cravings. If I do have a treat make it light like fruit, veggie, or chew gum. I will have to experiment with what works for me. Thanks team for sharing!! :muscle:

Day 1 and 2 both good for me. I have a lot of really stressful things this week that I'm trying not to dwell on. Glad it's almost my weekend. Need to up my exercise but no problems with my intake. I haven't consistently lost any weight in years and ended up gaining it back plus more since my last losses 2+ years ago. It's only going to get harder from here so might as well stick to it now and make it a long term success.

Hope the stressful things get easier for you! Stress can be so hard to overcome and can really mess up our eating and sleep habits! Maybe even getting in some walks would help with both mentally and physically. Good luck to you!

I was in the hospital for a few days with a small bowel obstruction. This is not a good way to loose weight. I am regaining my appetite and I am afraid I will fall back into bad habits. Tonight I am going to stick with dinner and done ✅ I am determined to win this diet bet and looking forward to being 8lb lighter.

You are in control of your choices. If you don't want to fall into bad habits, make different choices. It's hard, but you can do it if you really want to!

My obstruction cleared an hour after contrast via NG tube was administered during imaging. Dr felt surgery was not necessary at this time. He did give me recommendations for water intake, fiber foods, miralax or Metamucil. The pain was awful and I had projectile vomiting which has subsided. Feeling better every day and my appetite has increased.

@Daisy H, I like to drink a pot of green tea every day, which consists of about 7-8 cups. I drink it straight, like chugging water, solely for the weight loss benefits that have been documented by research. It’s not enough on its own, but it’s been shown to help, and it’s a good way to encourage proper hydration.

My yogurt bowl is non fat Greek yogurt, fruit and keto granola from Costco. My wrap has tuna fish with one tablespoon of mayo, Greek yogurt, and olive oil to make it moist.
