Hi, I'm Lindsay, from Chicago. I was motivated to join the group because I've been in a pretty good mindset lately and wanted to give myself some extra accountability to keep it up during the holidays. My non-scale goal is to get more sleep - I'm a single mom with almost full custody of 3 school age kids and a full time job, so I get so little time to myself that it's hard to make myself go to bed during that brief period of time when the kids are all asleep and I have a little bit of time to myself.

  • As someone who has always lost weight painfully slow, I really hesitated to do this. I was worried it would mess with me mentally and create more frustration than anything. I knew I needed something more though. Something to kick me into gear to finally get serious. You all kept me motivated and I did it! This challenge has taught me that I was holding myself back with lies I had created about my ability to lose weight faster. Im pumped for the next! Who’s joining??

The scale went back up this week. It’s frustrating. I know exactly why and I know I need to be prepared with better food when I get too hungry. I struggle with food choices when I am get too hungry and need to take a minute to drink more water and make a better, healthier, lower calorie choice. I can do this!
